ELMWOOD PARK Established in 1972. Elmwood Park is easily accessible through Routes 4 and 46, as well as the Garden State Parkway and Interstate 80, and has been a solid home to commuters and commercial destinations. Elmwood Park was originally part of East Paterson, however in November of 1972, the town voted a name change, and it officially became Elmwood Park, with the longest serving mayor in Bergen County, since 1972, Richard Mola. Famous landmarks include Artesian Fields County Park and the Van Houten-Hillman House. Also make sure to take your kids to NJ Outdoor Amusements so everyone can have a fun time.
